WELCOME TO 3rd ASHTON
3rd Ashton Scout Group is based in Ashton on Mersey Village in the North West of England. With Brownies, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts meeting throughout the week and many camps and activities, we are a very busy group and whilst we gladly welcome new members and helpers, we usually have a waiting list for all sections.

We like all subs to be paid monthly by standing order. The following paperwork is also available at the hut -

If you didn’t already know, we have a private Facebook group which is primarily to help parents keep informed and to let you see photos of activities and camps. No need to worry if you’re not on Facebook. ALL important info will be sent via email or printed.
A Brief History
3rd Ashton was founded in 1927. Back then the hut was on the site of Harpers Chemist in Ashton Village. The ‘new’ hut we use now was built in 1960.
We’d like to put more information about 3rd Ashton’s past on our site so if you used to be involved with 3rd Ashton and you have any interesting stories, facts or photos we’d love to hear from you! Contact us
BEAVERS / CUBS / BROWNIES: Parents must ensured their child arrives at the hut and signs in before passing responsibility to the leaders. At the end of each meeting children are to wait in the hut until they are collected, please do not ask your child to meet you on the road. We understand parking can be difficult but child safety is clearly more important.
SCOUTS / EXPLORERS / YOUNG LEADERS: We recognise that some of the older children may not be escorted to and from the meetings however we cannot be held responsible for your child prior to entering and signing in with the leader or once they have left the premises at the close of the meetings.
PARKING: Please be considerate to our neighbours when dropping off and picking up ~ Thank You.

Our legendary annual bedding plant sale is back !
We are once again only accepting ONLINE ORDERS either via our dedicated website or via the attached excel spreadsheet.
You can find our latest online order form on our new secure website here. If you have forgotten your username/password, just click on the Forgotten Password link.
To allow time to place the bulk order, we must receive all orders by WEDNESDAY 20th APRIL.
BACS payment is our preference.

We will be providing DELIVERY ONLY to M33 addresses, NO collections.
Please remember to add a delivery donation to your order. Deliveries are planned to be over several days from the 13th May 2022 onwards. We choose not to supply the plants until mid-
All funds raised from the sale of plants will be used for the benefit of our young members. We are all volunteers, even the delivery drivers. Nobody receives any payment for their services. You can help us raise funds by ordering your spring bedding plants through our Group. Why not ask your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.
All the delivery/donations will be given to our chosen charity, which this year is Stockdales. Stockdales is a local charity with a wealth of experience in making a difference to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. They help people of all abilities to live life to the full through their Residential, Community and Home Care Support services, Dream Days project and Clubs.
Thank you very much for your support, it makes a real difference to what we are able to achieve, both for our members and our chosen charity.
